INTRODUCTION

 

 

Seal Incorporated Berhad (Seal) was incorporated in 1962 and commenced the plywood manufacturing and export business in 1964. In 1970, Seal was converted to a public company. It was listed on KLSE in 1971.

 

The principal activities of the Company are logging and sawmilling, property investment, construction, project management, property development, and property facilities management.

Seal Group vice its subsidiary Kelantan Lumber Products Sdn Bhd (46025-H) has reactivated its sawmilling activities in Kuala Krai in the beginning of 2007.

 
 
 
 
LOGGING  

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

  

Logging being one of the Group's core businesses incorporates a range of activities such as timber harvesting, sale of timber logs and other timber related products, provision of logging infrastructure and transportation services.  Sawmilling activity complements the logging activities of this company.

 

Seal Group via subsidiary Great Eastern Mills Berhad has secured a 10,000-acre forest concession from the State Government of Kelantan and commenced logging since 2007.

 

Seal Group has also acquired 2,000 acres forest concession from the State Government of Kedah and commenced logging since 2007.

Wistana Realty Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary company of Seal Group, has completed construction Phase 1 commercial property development in Seberang Prai District, a vibrant economic growth area strategically located within easy reach of various amenities, close to the Penang Bridge.The commercial property development had been sold out and 12 units of which are purchased by Kolej Komuniti of Ministry of Higher Learning.

          Seal Development Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary company of Seal Group, has completed 110 units of  
          residential development known as Taman Sejahtera Jaya at Lunas, Kedah Darulaman. The

Selayang Walk – Seal Group has collaborated with AmanahRaya Berhad (ARB) and developed retail and food outlets known as Selayang Walk which annexed to the Selayang Mall.  Seal Group Selayang Walk has secured 100% occupancy and Selayang Walk shall commence in September 2008.

 

 

 

 

           

            ECO- INDUSTRIAL PARK

For the eco-industrial park in Kuala Krai, the Group is developing about 60 light industrial buildings on a 6-acre site.  The buildings with an estimated gross sales value of RM25 millions, are designed for the bird’s nest cultivation business and other industrial uses.

 

Seal Group has also planned to develop 85 units of commercial buildings on its land at Sungai Petani.  The buildings are designed for the bird’s nest cultivation business and other commercial uses and shall have estimated gross sales value of RM30 million.

 

 

FUTURE PLANS  

 

The Group has about RM52mil cash and without any financial liabilities, will use part of it to develop an eco-industrial park and identify new business opportunities and scouting for suitable land for residential and commercial projects.
